Mustangs Registration

Each club in the Capital District Minor Football Association (CDMFA) has recruitment boundaries that they can draw players from. The Mustangs recruitment boundaries are within the City of Edmonton, south of the North Saskatchewan River.  If you are outside of our recruitment boundaries please contact us before registering.


The Registration fee for Atom, Peewee and Bantam divisions is $450.00  The Registration fee includes: 

  • Use of equipment for the duration of the season
  • Spring camp
  • Main camp practice and games.
  • Insurance coverage for all events.
  • Team and individual player photo
  • Players year end banquet ticket
  • Game Socks
  • Mouth Guard

 Registration for the Novice Flag program is $225.00. The Novice Registration Fee include:

  • Football Alberta Entrance Fee for the Esks Novice league
  • Additional practice time
  • Team and individual player photo
  • Mustangs player T-Shirt

Mustangs do not require parent fund raising over and above the registration fee.


Registration Process:

  • You must be logged into this website to access player registration.  If you are not currently logged in, enter your user name and password in the "Site Login" area on the left side of the page.  If you do not have a username and password you can click the Sign Up link in the Site Login area and get a username/password.
  • Once logged into the website, clicking the team Registration button below will open the online registration form.   From there you will enter all required player information. All fields marked with (*) are mandatory and need to be filled in to allow form submission.  You will need to know the players weight (in lbs) and height (in feet and inches) so have these numbers ready before starting the registration.  You will also be asked for School attending next fall,  if you are unsure please enter the most likely option.
  • Once you have entered the information and pressed the submit button, you will be redirected to the Paypal website for payment of registration fee.   Payment can be made with a credit card or Paypal account.  An email will be sent to the parent/guardian email address as entered on the registration form once payment is confirmed with a receipt and the League (CDMFA) waiver form.   
  • You will be contacted through the team email list when equipment handout will be.  Equipment handout be in the month of May.

The league cutoff date for player registrations is September 15.  Mustangs will cut off registrations as teams fill up.

*2009 born kids have the option to play Atom or Novice. Contact us if you have questions on what level would be the best fit.

The Peewee and Bantam teams are full, and we are taking names to a wait list. We may take players from the wait list to meet a specific need on the team.


Players will be required to bring government issued proof of age to equipment handout for visual verification by a SWEMFA official.  Bantam players will also need to provide proof of school grade at equipment hand out.   A undated equipment deposit cheque for the amount of $350.00 made out to South West Edmonton Minor Football Association (SWEMFA) will be required at equipment handout.  The cheque will be returned when equipment is returned and there are no outstanding funds due.



Refund Policy
If you change your mind and pull out before the equipment is handed out a refund of the registration fee less $25 will be issued.  After that the amounts change with time.  After equipment is handed out, the registration fee less $75 will be refunded.  After one week of the main training camp, the registration fee less $150 will be refunded. After two weeks the registration fee less $250 will be refunded and after three weeks there will be no refunds. A player will not be considered for refund until notice of withdraw from the program is received in writing to the registrar and equipment is returned. 


The Capital District Minor Football Association (CDMFA) reserves the right to perform spot checks of players proof of age and grade.   These documents must be made available to the league upon request.
